He was slipping, falling deeper into a hole of hidden terror and gore. His ongoing battle with the lure of human blood rages on as he begins to stubbornly fight his brother and Elena’s aid. To the outside world, he puts up a facade of a calm and collected composure, when in reality he’s tearing himself apart on the inside. He had lost the will to execute revenge, his self-loathing and mixed emotions stirring his largest fears and darkest thoughts. He had previously focused his energy and inner turmoil towards hating Klaus and attempting to get rid of him once and for all, but even those plans were ripped from him when his own survival was thrown into the mix. How much more can he take as he continues to skirt on dangerous waters? How far can he go before he shatters completely?
